For those who aren't sure about it all...
For those who aren't sure about it all..
There are a lot of things to figure out, and all of us are still looking, seeking, learning, growing. We ask questions, we take wrong turns, and sometimes the lightbulb in our minds and hearts clicks on.
For people with lots of questions, we say,
Welcome! Your questions are invited. Let's talk about it together. We'll respect you and your ideas, and we hope you'll respect us. At the end, we'll have learned from each other, and we hope we'll have made friends.
This may sound different than the church you grew up in. We're not about making everyone say the same thing ... in fact, one of the historical characteristics of a baptist church is the belief that God works in the hearts and minds of individuals, and we are accountable first of all to God.
We believe that if Christianity is true, it can stand up to questioning. And we believe that faith grows best in people when they seek and find, instead of being force-fed a catechism that they must memorize without understanding.
If you would like to let your soul grow, let your faith sprout wings and fly, stop by. We have traditional services, but non-traditional conversations and friendships.
And it's OK to ask questions.
